What is the cost of product liability insurance I should look into for my manufacturing business?

We do contract injection molding, 30 people, mostly housewares with a bit of automotive trim. I'v been running on the general liability policy we have had since 2014 and honestly nobody looked at it closely until a new customer sent through a vendor agreement that wants product liability called out separately with its own limit.

My agent says our GL "includes products", the customer's procurement says that is not the same thing as a product liability limit, and they want it shown as its own line on the certificate.

Someone here has to have been through this, is that a real distinction or is procurement being difficult, and what does the coverage run for a shop this size?

I need insurance for my new nightclub, what does it cost?

Hey everyone,

So my partner and I are serial entrepreneurs and we have decided to go into the nightlife venture. We are taking over an existing club that my partners friend used to run, but he sadly passed away from covid a few years ago. So we are thinking that the club will be open from thursday through to sunday till like 2am, we will have 4 security guards (bouncers) on our busy nights.

I've got about 2 quotes so far from insurance places and they're not even in the same universe. One came in so low I assume it covers nothing, and the other was like triple that, and one broker flat out told me they don't write nightclubs anymore. The quotes all list something called assault and battery coverage at wildly different limits, so I assume that matters too. Nobody will tell me what a normal number looks like for a room this size.

What are you guys actually paying? Just trying to figure out what fair looks like before I sign anything.

I need insurance for my funeral home something like general liability, property and commercial auto

Hey everyone,

So my partner and I run a small funeral home alongside some of some of our other business adventures (we are serial entrepreneurs) and I'm trying to get the coverage right, general liability and property are obvious and we've got commercial auto for the hearse and transport, but I keep reading information that funeral homes have professional exposures a standard business policy won't touch. Things like a mistake handling remains or a family claim are apparently a whole separate category from a slip and fall or a fender bender. Anyone in this space worked out how to line up GL, property, commercial auto and the professional side without leaving a gap or paying twice for overlap?

Going from beer and wine to a full bar, how do you structure liquor liability vs GL?

Small neighbourhood restaurant here, we got a full liquor licence so we're moving from beer and wine to real cocktails and later weekend hours. I went to actually read our general liability policy and the alcohol side is basically excluded so an over served guest getting in a wreck on the way home would fall outside it entirely. For anyone who's added a full bar programme, did you carry liquor liability as its own policy or bundle it and what limit actually felt right once the weekends got busy?
