My husband got me this skeleton holding a cat (from Walmart), he said it was perfect for my altar.
I painted the cat to look like my baby boy, Niko. Now my Niko will always be protected and in Death’s arms.🥰
Friendly reminder. A LOT of the statues found in Mexico are made by hand. If they can do it so can you.

My fat tail started having her babies on Thursday. Thursday morning she only had one baby on her back and a couple in the membrane by her feet. By Thursday afternoon, She had a back full of babies! 🥳 unfortunately she also had a bunch scattered around her enclosure. She also left a few (still in the membrane) in a pile. She also had complications with her last set of babies, so I wasn’t too surprised.
I didn’t want to stress her. I left her completely alone, because she has eaten babies before. Didn’t check on her all Friday and most of today.
I checked on her around noon today (Saturday) and she had started eating her babies. The pile of babies that were in the membrane never came out. They had dried up and were dead. There were still babies scattered all over her enclosure. She actively had two in her claws eating them. It’s unfortunate, but I knew it was a possibility. I guess she had a pretty rough birth. Happened the same way last time. 😔
I separated mom from the babies. I physically took a paintbrush and removed them from her back. Only 16 baby fat tails.
I’ve done some research on raising the little guys. Most sources have the same info: Damp paper towel in a small container. They’ll eat their sheds (or each other) for the first couple of weeks. When they molt a couple of times, then feed as normal.
If anyone has some advice, please let me know.

I can’t tell what the first two statues are holding. Is it supposed to be ‘Sacred Heart of Jesus’? I tried looking for the statue style on google, but no luck.

!!!!CATCH AND RELEASE!!!! Was only brought inside long enough for these pictures!!!!! ——————————————————————————— My family owns some property near starvation Reservoir in Duchesne, Utah. I’ve never seen a wild tarantula or a scorpion, so I went looking yesterday. I found this little lady and now I’m trying to determine its species. I’m a spider person and know next to nothing about scorpions. I tried asking facebook, but keep getting conflicting information. I also asked for resources on ID-ing scorpions, but no one can tell me where to look.
I’ve been told this is an Arizona bark. Other’s told me Arizona barks don’t live in the area. A few people said it’s a Paruroctonus boreus, or the northern scorpion. And one person said it’s a desert hairy scorpion.
-The camera makes it look a shade or two darker. Still dark tho -Gravid/pregnant female carrying developing embryos -has hair on claws and some on tail -DOESN’T have second barb on stinger -claws are on the thicker side. Not very long or narrow -about 2-3 inches long from claw to tip of tail -nonaggressive -DOES NOT want to be upside down -was found by itself. No other scorpions around
I saw this gorgeous statue on TikTok and now I’m looking for one like her. I can’t seem to find any in this style. I don’t mind if the statue isn’t purple, I’ll paint it if the aspect doesn’t align.
My first time seeing a Santa where the statue in person (that I can remember 😅) was a couple years back. It was a statue that looks over/protects a botanica. This statue has the same energy as the one I saw all those years ago. I believe I’m drawn to this statue so heavily because it’s very… imposing. She looks like she demands respect. I don’t know what it is about this statue specifically, but she definitely feels intimidating.

I’ve been leaving offerings of flower on my altar for mommy. About an 8th of green and 2g of concentrate. I am still new to my devotion. I am trying to figure out when to remove stuff from the altar. I know when to remove food and drink from the altar, I’m not sure about flower. I can roll one for her with the green, that’s no problem. I’m wondering about the concentrate.
My questions are, when should I reset? Should I leave it till it’s completely expired? Should I smoke it with her? Would she be offended if I smoked with her (since it was an offering for her)?
