What kind of scorpion is this?
It was in my bathroom, and stung me. Texas.

My ptrans gave that dubia a generous amount of venom and despite all that it managed to land a kick on my fat tail scorp's face in the end
It turns out i can't keep so many babies and now idk what to do with them
Came home to 15 babies! I don’t think she has eaten any of them yet, which is a huge win when you’re working with this species.
My best advice is to give her a big meal after she’s finished giving birth. Just make sure she’s completely done before feeding her, but don’t wait too long—or you might end up with only a few babies left.
I got 35 babies from a single clutch from one of my spinifer females last year, and every single one survived. 💪🏼
I bought this fattailed scorpion a couple months ago and it’s always seemed to be like a nugget, I can’t tell if it’s babies or just fat.
picked this guy up today but he has no heating element in his tank. did it because my room runs extremely hot, currently about 75 and it’s night time, in the day it goes in the 80s. is it still worth the investment for stability or does it not matter much in this context
Hey, so a local pet shop's Asian forest scorpion had babies. They are not really equipped for this and wanted me to take the babies since I'm the only invert guy the manager (a personal friend of mine) knows.
2 problems- 1 they promised the mom to another big box pet store and the guy never came to get her, so now the babies are leaving mom and they are scooping them up and sending them to me. I'm not too upset about that as tbh I'm not much of a scorpion guy. I like them but I never planned on getting any and now I'm having to learn very quickly.
Which brings me to problem 2- they sent me the babies with some pinhead crickets. These things are tiny, I'm used to like small spiders that can eat stuff 2-3 times their size, these pinheads are almost microscopic and most of them are dead in the container. I got a couple out and tried to feed the scorplings. I found all the crickets drowned in water bowls the next day and tried to set them out for the babies to get to. They didn't eat them live- which I read is normal, but they didn't eat them dead either. They have been off mom for about 3 or 4 days and haven't eaten anything. What do I do?
I was planning on getting some small dubias to pre kill for them, but I'm worried.
Everything online said these guys are easy, but I'm stressed out cause I've had them 3 days and can't get them to eat. Some sources say feed them weekly, some say 2-3 times a week. I'd like some advice from someone who has kept babies of possible
No idea which species, sorry. Can't get a good look at Mom and the babies are too small for me to even try to guess.
From what I know and have seen Asian forest scorpions don't need a lot of space but I'm worried about needing to put my girl in a new enclosure. She's in a 10 gallon right now and I made sure that she has enough substrate to dig in which she has been, her humidity is good and everything but I'm not sure if the enclosure itself is big enough. My biggest concern however is that she won't stop climbing on the ceiling of her enclosure. Am I over reacting or should I get her into a bigger enclosure, if so then how big? First time keeping scorpions so any advice would be great 🙏🙏
I only got this afs about 4 months ago and didn’t check its sex so I don’t know if it could be pregnant. (Hasn’t been accepting food recently and isn’t very photogenic😭)
Found in nothern india.. is it legal to keep a scorpion pet? Also what to feed it.. it looks like a baby scorpion
San Diego, Ca - I just got stung by a scorpion! I didn’t get a picture of it because I fainted upon realizing. Last thing I remember was looking down after feeling the sting and seeing the little fucker run in a circle and I was OUT. It was brown/tan and about 2”, it doesn’t really hurt, my foot is a bit numb and my heart rate feels kinda high, but am I good or no? Google says we have a few different species, one that is quite poisonous but they all look the same to me.
Tonight I learned scorpions do not glow when they are first born.
Friend says bark scorpion but to me they all look very similar, this one has a darker body than what i have seen so just to make sure what do you guys think
