Is it normal to never see your scorpion?

Hi! First time scorp keeper here. I have an asian forest scorpion (H. Spinifer) and I haven’t seen her since the day I got her. She’s in a 10 gallon tank with a bunch of hides, plants, and substrate to burrow into and I was told they like to burrow but is it normal for them to just never be out? I did feed her a roach yesterday and when i woke up today it was gone, i assume she ate it at night while I was sleeping..

I’ve had and currently have a bunch of other invertebrates and bugs as pets so i’m familiar with the “pet hole in the ground” some of them tend to be but even with my centipedes or burrowing tarantulas they’re out and about sometimes. Just wondering if this is normal behavior! If not, is she stressed? Is habitat wrong? I keep it 75° with a heat lamp and mist it once a day to keep the humidity around 60-70%.

My first Scoprion

H. Spinifer female. 10 gallon tank with bioactive tropical substrate, climbs, plants, 5 in. of substrate (towards the back, it’s a gradient because of the front opening), cork bark hide that is half buried to go all the way down to almost the bottom. Small water dish added after picture was taken. Is this good? I will mist it every 4-5 days and was planning on feeding a dubia roach about the size of a quarter once week. Going to get springtails soon.

Is this good for her? I want her to thrive and I honestly have no idea anything about keeping scorpions. I went based off of google care sheets and some reddit comments. I bought her impulsively at a reptile expo. Her name is Doomsday (Phoebe for short).

My First Baby

I’ve always loved tarantulas but never had one. Just got my first one today. His name is Charles. Striped Knee Tarantula that were pretty sure is just about a year old. I have him in a 5 gallon tank with cork bark, some bones for decoration, and a lot of substrate. I was told to mist the tank every 3-4 days, feed him once a week. I would love to be able to hold him at some point. Is there anything I can do better for him right now? Is there any way to actually bond with a spider?
