RIP to my desk goose 😔

RIP to my desk goose 😔

May we all say farewell to my friend from vine 😭 he was repairable at first, but my kids dropped him a second time and he broke into even more pieces beyond repair. One of my favorite vine items I’ve ever received! It sells for $15.99. I may purchase one myself 😪 my family is not as sad as I, but I figure my fellow viners may shed a tear with me lol.

When I first got invited to vine, I didn’t know there was a Reddit group. I used vine for maybe a year or so before discovering the subreddit, and I was doing fine! Ordered occasionally, within my means, and just enough to keep silver. It didn’t feel like a huge chore. It was something fun to get some “free” products.
Once I found the subreddit, I felt like I needed to step up my game. Seeing what people were snagging at 12am, the items they were getting on gold, I felt like I had to work harder at vine to not miss out.
My last eval period was from Oct ‘25 to April ‘26. From Halloween to new years, vine sucked!!! When good/decent products started coming back around Valentine’s Day, I started scouting and ordering like crazy. I felt pressured to reach gold by April. But then somewhere around late feb/early march I had taken a break from Reddit and found that I had so much less of a desire to keep up with the quotas. I started only ordering things from brands I recognized, or if it was a small item that I was looking to already snag and saw it, I would get it even it was from an alphabet soup company. My eval time came and went and I stayed silver. And I don’t regret it!
I often see people in this group getting so worked up about getting gold or staying gold. I know everyone’s lives are different, but getting so stressed about a program like this takes the fun away from it. If you have the time, energy, and resources to achieve and maintain gold without being stressed, that’s great! But for us in silver who don’t, please don’t try and fret! If you’ve come to a point where even silver tier is too much for you to handle, don’t feel bad about exiting the program.
I don’t think it’s worth it at all to stress about it.
Anyway, this post comes after I just read someone’s exit announcement, and if that’s what’s best for them, good for them! If you feel the same way as them, try reducing your number of orders or exiting the program as well. Just thought I could try and create a post of encouragement! Thanks for reading
