Hello! I am 31F and looking for a career path to be able to comfortably support myself and my 3 children. I am a newly single mom and was a stay at home mom for the last 8 and a half years, up until 7 months ago. Currently working retail, but the pay is unsustainable.

My dad, my brother, my cousin, AND my ex are all electricians, so I lean towards joining electrical. They all have jokingly told me to join, but I’m seriously considering it.

Would that be a good trade to go into as a woman? Or are there other trades that might be a better fit? Am I too old to just now be looking into this line of work?

If I do join a trade, where do I even begin? What should my course of action be? I’m ready to change my life and am heavily considering this route. Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom!!

I am soo nervous. I was madly in love with my best friend in high school. We kinda danced the line, but never dated. We lost touch after high school, and I reached out to him a year ago this month. After 12 years of not talking.

We ended up flirting a lot and we have been dating the past several months. Phone calls, I love you’s. He lives 13hrs away, but travels for work…

He texted me yesterday and told me he’s in my city for work. He wants to see me tomorrow. I am SOO nervous. I have not seen him in 13 years. There’s so many things running through my mind.

I’m scared he’ll see me in person and won’t be as attracted to me. It’ll be up close and personal, not where I have the advantage of taking a selfie with the right angle and lighting lmaooo. We were so young when we last saw each other, I’m just worried I won’t measure up and he’ll feel regret, or that it’ll be awkward.

Give me all the advice so I don’t chicken out and not go lol.
