MSW acceptance with no experience?

Genuine question, not throwing shade. I am curious how people are getting accepted into MSW programs straight out of a BSW?

I graduated from my BSW in 2024 (finished all classes in winter of 2023 but officially graduated in spring of 2024) and am applying to MSW to begin in 2027. I have been working full time since January of 2024 in various jobs in child welfare and I have found that my professional experience has heavily influenced who I am as a social worker and a big part of my personal statement in my MSW application.

I am wondering how people feel ready to jump straight into a MSW program right after finishing undergrad. I know a lot of us come to this field with pervious experience but most of the programs I have looked into require a minimum of 2 years professional (post BSW) experience.

What makes you feel ready - professionally and academically - to go into a MSW without a couple years under your belt in the field?

Friday night FaceTime

Just got off ft with my (27f) boyfriend (30m), last week we met for the first time after 3 months of talking online and now he is back home - he lives across the country. We didn’t get a chance to ft yesterday due to the time difference and I had a social thing after work so by the time I got home it was too late for him.
Anyways, tonight we were on Ft for almost 4 hours (to make up for not talking yesterday lol). I plan to move to him next year. I was always planning to move to the east coast for school and just happened to start talking to him - a sign I knew it was meant to be. I’m moving into his house and tonight we were talking about where my stuff and things are gonna go and he drew me out a floor plan of his house and cut out little pieces of furniture so when we talk about the move we can look at the floor plan and see if we like it 🥹

Such a little thing but this man just loves me so much and indulges my every little request and it almost made me tear up tonight when I was watching him on ft so invested in drawing the house to scale and cutting out the little drawings of furniture all so I can conceptualize where I want things. I am so incredibly grateful and so deeply in love!!!

First time meeting IRL

We met online, which is ironic bc I only used online dating apps as a joke never really thought something real would come out of it. We matched and started talking, we quickly discovered that we had a lot in common and shared many values and goals for what we wanted our lives to look like. He lives on the opposite side of the country from me and works a camp job, his work was able to fly him to me (which is amazing since the flight across the country are over a thousand dollars for one way). It was a little bit awkward at first ngl but once we started talking things became natural again as they were when we were FaceTiming. The first time we had sex wasn’t the greatest, we talked a lot about it and were sexting leading up to our meeting. I was honest about my feelings of disappointment and boy did that ever work. That same night when we did it again it was the best sex of my life (sounds cheesy but it’s true). He was here for 8 days and we did so many amazing fun things together, went on hikes, cooked together, laid in bed for hours talking and cuddling. He just left back home today and although I am sad he’s not here with me I am so happy and excited that we had this time together and told each other how we felt and now we are planning our life together. The distance is so hard but so worth it because he is my soulmate and this is just the beginning of the most beautiful life together.
