Not growing new leaves
I’ve had this large tree for a year now and it seems the full four seasons in my NYC apartment. As you can see, she’s in front of a big window, east facing.
My concern is that she’s not grown any new news. She’s lost probably 20 or 30 or so mostly from the bottom and mostly when I first bought her and during the winter when I mistakenly gave her some plant food she lost the most right after that incident.
I’ve had fiddles in the past that seemed to grow quite well in my various NYC apartments so I’m not sure what’s going on. The one thing I think that could be affecting it is that unfortunately the placement my air vent is right in front of the tree so during the winter it gets heat and now during the hot summer. Could that be the issue?
For now, she hasn’t dropped any leaves in the past few months and she looks lovely, but I want her to be healthy and no signs of new growth could mean that?
I have been giving her for the Lief plant food with every other watering, but still no dice in the spring to summer season.
