Having major issues with my warranty in my region, is there a way to contact Beyerdynamics directly for warranty?
So I bought a DT 1990 MK II purely for mastering in my work after listening to them at a friend house, replacing my old headset which couldn't come even close to hearing issues in your mixes in comparsion.
I worked with them for about 2 weeks and I noticed "buzzing" in the left Ear at the low ends, around 40hz to 80hz but I was right before releasing a project and overall was very happy with them beside that issue so I didn't use the warranty right away (though I have a record I reported it to the distributer right away) because I couldn't afford not having them, I could work around it at the time till I am done ..
Then after 2 months, my mixes had absolute no balance out of the blue (and I am known for perfect mixing in that area), then I realized that the left Ear "mid to highs" are are super low than the right ear .. as if the balance was gone.
Anyhow I sent them for repair/warranty, about 6 month since purchase, I got 2 years warranty with them, they came back and the local distrubuter claim they replaced the left speaker as it was malfunctioning, I was happy and took them to my studio.
Then a war started out of the blue and I couldn't get to test them as I was called to help (I am a reserved soldier), now I came back and tested them out and guess what.
Not only the right ear still buzz at low end, there is absolute NO BALANCE, the left ear is at the very minimum 50% louder than the right ear, by all means NO ONE tested them after the repair, its impossible to ignore.
I contact the local distrubter again and they told me that my interface is probably the issue (Sorry what?), by all means I am using differnet headphones including my old ones, test EXACTLY THE SAME model my friend who made me buy them have, also a DT1990 MK2 + another DT1990 MK1 and both sound absolutely fine, the issue is with the one I recieved specifcally.
Worth mentioning there is absolutely no damage to my headset, they look brand new to the point you couldn't tell anyone ever used them, even the big plastic box they come with.
Also for a fact they replaced the left Ear so I am not "imagining" stuff, if there wouldn't be an issue then nothing would be replaced in the first place right?
Anyhow I sent them to repair again, been over 20 days and they claim they are "Still diagnosing them if there is any issue" - like seriously? its my work and I need them ASAP !
I asked them to just replace them and give me a brand new headphones because its obvious they have no idea how to repair them + its the second time they are defect even after repair, they told me I have to keep waiting ..
I am super mad and frustrated, I need those headsets and I feel like a chump who lends headsets from friends all the time or work with my old headset .. very unproffesional and it is holding me back BIG time.
I want to contact beyerdynamics directly and tell them to force that company to replace my headsets, anyone know if its possible?
