Journey through demon slaying/the story of how I became a fan of demon slayer

You may noticed but my story of my relationship with demon slayer is extremely different unlike my hero academia. In 2021, while i was focusing on rooting for wolfwalkers to win, i first heard about that one strange anime movie that was suppose to have oscar nomination. I dont even know this anime so weeks and months later i focused more on magical girls and animated cartoons. When in 8th grade, demon slayer is way too popular to the point where it annoyed the shit out of me. But in late 2021, i slowly like nezuko. High school is incredibly different, and many years ago in my early high school years, i tried the very best i can to avoid that anime with various drawings, preschool mascots, ocs, other animes like lance n’ masques, and award shows and movies like turning red. Suddenly in 12th grade, my graphics class all wanted to go to see infinity castle, which i was utterly confused why the stupid anime (according to me during the time) is having an encore and wanted to be in theaters. I told my mom that i want to see gabby’s dollhouse the movie instead since since i still am a child at heart and loves cute cats, magical adventures and so many colors. I loved gabby’s dollhouse the movie and didnt want to have any business with demon slayer. That was until unfortunately demon slayer got nominated for best animated feature at the golden globes. I still wasnt a fan of that movie ad rooted for either zootopia 2, arco (because of the rainbows and its made in france!!), and kpop demon hunters. When i really decided to watch more anime for my new years resolution, i really try the best i can to be a huge anime fan like one of my discord friends in new years week. She utterly beg me to watch both my hero academia and demon slayer, but inside i didnt want to. But i have to, so i watch demon slayer first for the first 11 episodes and suddenly got really hooked into it. And then my hero academia. Although I wasn't a fan of the first 3 episodes but hey thats just another story. I just got hooked into Tanjiro and Zenitsu. God, they hit me really hard. Mostly zenitsu because i heavily relate to him extremely fast cause hes a coward and timid but he has to do any way he can to get through. Throughout january and february, i watch all of season 1 of demon slayer and then mugen train. Nowadays i fully understand why so many fans 5 years ago really loved mugen train and wanted it to win even tho during that time i wanted wolfwalkers to get all the glory, not soul. Soul was an ok movie, Wolfwalkers was a bag of fresh air for me. Why? 2d, handdrawn, amazing art style, the girls transform into wolves, heart, emotional depth, and its made by irish people (cartoon saloon). I was more interested in that movie more than soul cause i didnt like the small eyes big nose weird designs and didnt understand why it won in so many award shows instead of the glorious fresh 2d irish movie. Nowadays i think rather wolfwalkers and/or demon slayer mugen train should’ve won in 2020-2021 award season more.
