Is this technically correct?
Is it correct that Take Me Back To LA is The Weeknd’s final song before his “passing” in Big Sleep? I know that the character finally passes away in that song and TMBTLA is a song before that timely moment.
So technically, Take Me Back To LA is the final song The Weeknd persona is ever on (for now) and the rest of the songs on the album is purely Abel. I mean Give Me Mercy, Drive, The Abyss, Red Terror, Without A Warning, and Hurry Up Tomorrow all sound extremely personal and go deeper into his personal depth.
So, would my theory be correct? If so then that’s a very poetic moment for The Weeknd since the song truly is a reflection of After Hours which was his peak stardom wise.
