Questions on removing odors from game cartridges
So I've bought some used GBA cartridges not too long ago from my local retro game store, and after looking at them closely, the games look fine but 2 of them have a weird odor. 1 smells like an odd barbecue sauce and the other smells a bit like some cologne or something.
I saw some tips online that I can place the cartridges into a sealed container with baking soda and that it should remove the smell overtime and wanted to see how effective that was for anyone who's tried it and how exactly to do it.
Would I just place the cartridges into the baking soda, or should I put the baking soda into a small dish and make sure they're all in the container but not touching at all? I don't think baking soda would be harmful to one of the games, but just trying to be safe here. Any help would be appreciated so I can finally get to playing these games without having to deal with the weird smell
