Why do marriages that begin with a forbidden relationship fail?
In a forbidden relationship, both people present the best version of themselves:
Sweet words
Patience
Ignoring flaws
Exaggerated emotions
Excessive praise
Constant presence
But marriage removes the masks:
Anger appears
Selfishness appears
Poor self-control shows
Real flaws become visible
Neglect
Failure in responsibilities
Emotional dryness
Absence
And this is where conflicts and problems begin.
The problem is not that the man or woman changed, but that “their true nature appeared.” The traits that were hidden during the forbidden relationship become reality after marriage.
A forbidden relationship is often built on:
Crossing boundaries
Lack of rules and limits
Instant gratification
This type of relationship trains the mind to expect “a relationship without rules.”
Then the man and woman enter marriage with the same mindset.
They then clash with a new system — one that requires rights, responsibilities, and lasting commitment in order to continue.
The result: pressure + tension + bad treatment = separation!
So, forbidden relationships are ultimately pointless; marriage is what reveals the truth. Don’t exhaust yourself with what is forbidden.
