Weekend chasing pigs
Had a long weekend on a lovely property that is unfortunately absolutely plagued with feral pigs- between myself and a mate we were able to get 42 pigs over our time there. Most during the day on foot stalking in, some at night with night vision (though that is less hunting imo and more just ‘shooting’).
Used a howa mini in 6mm arc, Springfield 1903 in .25-06 and a Rossi 92 in .44-40. The latter did quite well, in the last pic can see the shot entered just in front of the right shoulder, through the chest cavity then out the abdomen on the left side, the pig was almost head on at 10m and closing.
