I frequent this sub from time to time and I’ve seen people seem to dislike the gameplay of Kiwami 2 compared to Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 0. Now I’ll be honest and admit I’ve got no idea what the “Dragon Engine” is, I first played 0 two years ago and got Kiwami through 6 on steam for a really good sale so I’m replaying the games in order.

So far I’m having a blast with Kiwami 2. It’s just really fun to knock guys down, kick them, and see them go flying. It feels way less serious than Yakuza 0 and Kiwami did in terms of gameplay but it’s still getting a good laugh out of me😂

All of the characters I've played so far have been really easy to learn(all of the viltrumites plus eve, robot, and Rex) and I like that the arcade mode has character specific endings. I know people think fighting games aren't catered to offline players anymore in favor of online, but personally I feel pretty catered to.
