Soooo closeee!!
I'm particular excited for my one scrumpdillyicious flower. I hope it doesn't disappoint. 🥲😬

I'm particular excited for my one scrumpdillyicious flower. I hope it doesn't disappoint. 🥲😬
So i've been battling what I think is vent gleet for the last week with this girl. I have separated her from the rest of the flock. I washed her bottom once to twice a day and apply lotramin ultra. I've been giving her hydro hen and just her regular feed (no treats). She's acting fine, laying eggs, etc.
This is her bottom after I washed her last night as well as her poop from overnight. Her poops are getting more solid and formed but there's still some more liquid-y ones.
I'm at a loss. I'm not sure if I'm on the right track or if she needs something else.
So I have to share with someone who will be as excited as I am. 🤣🤣 I just impulse bought these peonies and I couldn't be more excited. I just finished expanding and prepping my peony garden for when they arrive in the fall.
I already have: Sarah bernhart, scrumpdillyicious, a magenta one I lost the tag on, coral sunset, and duchesse de nemours.
I got mystic marans this year and I am obsessed. They are so friendly ans love to come sit with me.I love my chicken cuddle mornings with them.
We bought this house that came with peonies and since then I've bought one or two more varieties every season.
So far from left to right:
Duchesse de nemours
Scrumpdillyicious
Sarah bernhart (original owner)
I forgot the name magenta flowers
Coral charm (different more sunny location)
So what am I missing?
My other question is, is this spot too shady? It gets morning sun and some afternoon sun....however once the leaves grow in on the trees its more dappled sun.
So I've of my chickens has what I suspect to be vent gleet (see attached photos from yesterday including her poop from yesterday). Ive looked into how to treat but im not sure if its helping or not?
-I currently have her in the house.
-Gave her a sanitary trim of her butt feathers.
-I soak and wash her butt daily and apply lotramin ultra on her tush.
-I have her on just her normal layer feed and hydro hen in her water.
Ive done this since Sunday 5/3. When should I start seeing improvement? I feel like i don't see any changes except her skin looks less red now.
Is there anything else I could be doing?
Anyone have adult mystic marans, post a pic! Is there a chance my auburn neck mystics are hens, or are they most likely roos? They are around 9-10 weeks here
