So I took my first long ride today. Rode home from work. It's 5 miles, but took a route that was about 10 miles because my work is in the valley and I live on top of a hill. Longer route avoided the super steep incline.

Anyway, Segway e3 pro was like 75% charged and barely got me home. Had to push quite a bit on the last leg of the journey and ended up with 8% battery in the end.

One thing I'll say is holy crap, drivers seem to want to hit you. I had 3 instances where I was crossing the street at a crosswalk with the walk signal, and people in cars taking a free right try as hard as they can to go before you've crossed.

Just to add, in my area, scooters and bikes are legally allowed to ride on the road or sidewalks. My scooter tops out at 20mph so I stick to sidewalks and follow pedestrian rules.

Another thing I noticed is the crazy amount of pedestrians that huddle to the left as you go to pass them. In the U.S. where I live you're supposed to go to the right side.

Anyway looking forward to trying it out with a full battery. My wife works and we only have one car, which I let her use. So 2-3 days per week she drops me off in the morning and I usually ride 2 miles to the bus stop (very flat), but lately I've been thinking I might want to start just riding all the way home to avoid waiting for the bus and paying to ride it.

Just to add, I'm fairly tall and a bit overweight. 6' tall and 220 pounds, plus ride with heavy work boots and carry a backpack, often with a 64 oz Hydroflask mostly filled.

I'm looking for an app to make parodies of songs. Basically something where I can enter my own alternative lyrics into existing songs. Would prefer if it uses the original music and mimics the artists voice, but I suppose an approximation would be sufficient.

Free is obviously best, followed by one time purchase. Would like to avoid a paid subscription.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Sorry, this is just a bit of a rant. Flared as PSA in case anyone is unaware and getting ripped off.

I tend to do most my shopping at the Fred Meyer off Benson.

I noticed a while ago, but it's happening way more frequently, that they'll often have sale prices labeled that don't ring up properly.

As an example, it'll say 3 pound packs of ground beef are $15, but when you go to checkout it'll be the normal price.

Used to happen every now and then, but it's so often now that I have to snap photos of anything on sale to show the cashier because there's a 50/50 chance the discount won't be applied.

I've even had it happen multiple times where there's a separate discount label with its own barcode and that even doesn't ring up properly. I bought ribeye steaks a few weeks ago that were like $10 off and it didn't ring up. Almost paid $40 more for dinner just because of their stupid system.

Just a side note. It infuriates me that they're only doing paper bags now. I try to bring my reusable bags, but sometimes I either forget or just can't bring them. I don't mind paying for the nice thick plastic bags, as I actually reuse them, but the paper bags without handles should be illegal. Ain't no way I'm paying to use those.
