I LOVE this game and am revisiting it after a break. I saw update 0.8 is almost out and I was wondering if our current saves will be compatible or if we’ll have to start fresh?

I love this game, and I’m not trying to beat a dead horse with the whole “this update is garbage” bandwagon, but it’s no secret this update was a mess. I stepped away for a few days to get some fresh air and was curious: have the devs apologized or at least recognized they screwed up so badly?
I saw the deleted post the one dev used to try and shift the blame, and I know they announced a bunch of bug fixes, but I haven’t seen much of a real reply from the devs, despite all the review bombing and posts.
Edit: Ngl, I feel bad for whoever is their PR person.
