What does the line "It is recommended that this cheque be endorsed at the time of negotiation only", written on the back page of Income tax refund cheque from CRA , mean?
Hi everyone, I received my first income tax refund cheque from CRA. On the back page of the cheque, it's written that -

"It is recommended that this cheque be endorsed at the time of negotiation only"
Can you advice what does this "negotiation" mean? I usually use my banking app in mobile to deposit cheque directly to my bank account. So, I just sign my name on the back page of cheque (along with the line "For Deposit Only"), take a photo of both front and back page of the cheque, upload to my banking app and the money is deposited within a week. Can I do the same with this cheque too?
I asked ChatGPT and it says only to sign my name when I am in front of a cashier at my bank. So I have to physically go to my bank's office to deposit the money to my banking account? And not through my banking app?
