This is the third Mercury Bravo 1 prop we’ve broke on our 25’ El Pescador Patron. Each fracture has been identical with one of the four blades breaking like shown, leaving a concave fracture. It is not being caused by contact with any physical object and we arnt dinging it on bottom. Every time has been after about 40 hours run time on our merc 400. Somehow the force of the water coming through the cat hull is flexing the prop in a way that is causing enough stress to eventually bust off the tip of one blade. 2 out of the 3 instances we have felt a subtle vibration while running and notices a hairline fracture on the prop. Before we get back to the ramp the blade has fully cracked off.
