Finding customers for high precision custom CNC machining business

I have a machine shop in China operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling and turning, working with materials such as aluminum alloys (6061 / 7075), carbon steel, and stainless steels (304 / 316). Typical tolerance capability is ±0.01–0.02 mm or as specified on your drawings. Looking for North America customers for the opportunity to quote any upcoming RFQs.

Market Research Style - CNC-machined parts

For North American OEMs and machine builders, what are the biggest challenges you face when sourcing custom CNC-machined parts today?

Long lead times?
High local machining costs?
Quality consistency?
Communication issues?
Tariffs and logistics?

I'm based in Toronto and have been exploring supply chain options for custom machined components, so I'm curious to hear real-world experiences from engineers, buyers, and operations managers.

Cost-Savings Discussion - CNC machining costs

Purchasing Managers and Manufacturing Engineers:

If you could reduce CNC machining costs by 15–30% without compromising quality or lead time, what would be your biggest concern before switching suppliers?

Quality control?
IP protection?
Communication?
Delivery reliability?
Tariffs?

I'd love to hear what factors matter most when evaluating a new machining partner.
