Has Anyone Attempted A Trip To The Circus Yet?

Hello! Curious to hear if anyone has taken their pre-schooler to the circus yet? If so, what age were they and how did they get on?

My son is 4 and I was looking at taking him in a couple weeks but I'm hesitant also because he has never sat through a full movie at the cinema yet, he always asks to leave early and the circus will be 2hrs plus intermission so longer than any movie we've attempted.

I feel like a circus is a lot more entertaining and immersive than a movie though and you don't need to be silent at the circus so hopefully they aren't comparable and it'll be fine but the circus is a lot more expensive than the cinema and money is tight so while I want to go and do something fun with him, I know I'll feel shitty if we end up needing to leave really early and I'd rather spend that money elsewhere (we could go to a nearby water park instead for example).

What a Difference 1mg Makes!

I'm just sharing this because I genuinely didn't think I'd see such a marked difference in my side effects with only a 1mg difference but it's like night and day! Hopefully it will be helpful to someone out there who may also be struggling with their dosage.

So in summary, I started 2.5mg in early January. I stayed on 2.5mg for 6 weeks before moving to 3.5mg for a further 7 weeks and then moved up to 5mg for three weeks before I moved down to 4mg for the past two weeks. I've had really bad side effects since week 2, even with OOTC meds to treat the symptoms, I was having a lot of GI flare ups, dizzy spells and just generally felt rotten, that's why I stayed on 2.5mg and didn't move straight up to 5mg.

When I was on 3.5mg, I felt great, supported and no real side effects to talk about. When I felt that support go I decided to make the move up to 5mg and all was fine until the second week, I felt like I had returned to how I was responding on 2.5mg, only ten fold because now I was vomiting too. I couldn't eat anything without it setting my stomach off and I was having really bad sulphur burps constantly, it was awful and my bestie Pepto Bismol did nothing.

So I moved down to 4mg and overnight I felt like a new person. I really didn't think that a 1mg difference would be able to make such a change but here we are, I even had pizza this week and had no repercussions and my breath no longer reeks! So if you're struggling with side effects, maybe consider a very slight dose adjustment. Obviously speak to your provider about side effects and weight up your own risk assessment but I just wanted to share in case it can be helpful to someone, I know how rough those side effects can get if you're in the unlucky boat who gets them.

Ordered from Numan and it was sent out Wednesday on special delivery so should have arrived before 1pm but never heard a thing.

Decided last night to go to the local depot where the tracking number said it was, especially with the bank holiday weekend, I really didn't want it stuck in limbo and almost a week out of the fridge.

They couldn't find it at the depo so I left empty handed but they called me a half hour later telling me they had a package that says "keep refrigerated" on the box but the label had got wet and was completely blank. They wanted to open it to confirm what was inside matched what I said but they were happy with me describing that it was just medication and would be wrapped in an insulating material such as wool which they could see by only partially opening it.

So crisis averted and bonus points because it was an old style pen 🙌
