Season 6 Episode 14 - Assault on Brandon
I’m a first time watcher and need to rant.
I just finished the pajama party Nene threw for the group where Apollo wailed on Brandon for no *apparent* reason. Peter got a jab in as well.
I think it was rooted in homophobia and also a bit of repressed sexual tension (let’s be real - Apollo was attracted to Kenya).
I was a huge Nene and Kandi fan (even though Kandi this season has been kind of annoying with her lack of assertiveness toward her mother and not defending her own friend against her mother during that wedding appointment) before this episode. But this was just a horrible look for Nene, particularly. The party was pointless and stupid and she was stirring the pot from the get go.
I also don’t care about the petty drama that caused Kenya to get up and walk toward that woman anyways. The point is, Brandon is the real victim in this entire thing.
He’s way too good of a friend. And if I were him, I would’ve been side eyeing Kenya after this because she seemed more concerned about the Christopher Williams beef than the fact that her friend was hurt for getting caught up in her drama.
And also, why is Marlo back on this show after what she said? Her presence makes me so uneasy.
