Hi! I am a new ant keeper and recently acquired a new Camponotus ant colony from TarHeelAnts! I’m in the process of attempting to move the colony from the test tube into the founding formicarium, but no matter what I try they have yet to move into it. The formicarium has humidity and water, I even bought a filter to put over it so it’s darker for them! I even tried shining lights on them and such but after a few days I decided to just let them chill out in there and covered it with a PVC pipe so they aren’t stressed out. It’s been weeks and the workers will explore the outside area for food but still won’t move into the actual formicarium. Am I doing anything wrong or should I just wait til they have more workers to try again?
