I know, not being picky at all here. But I figured I'd give it a shot, and trying to cross reference the two is a giant pain. I don't need the absolute best, showiest things, or "totally fine no matter how much they eat" level nontoxic, but stuff I don't need to worry about starting inside or popping in a vase when there is an extremely inquisitive cat with a broad palette about.

Camas looked to be okay for both but planting a bunch of bulbs last year seems to have mostly resulted in well fed squirrels. Im going to try again but any other advice would be appreciated. Ive got both a scorching full sun area and a moist, shady forest garden, with lots of space for smaller stuff and perhaps a couple moderately sized shrubs or bushes.
