Mandatory which wheel for a beginner post.

I’m a heavier guy (220 lbs at 5’10”). This will be my first EUC and I’m 1000 percent on the buy once cry once team.

In my younger days I skateboarded for years and now I do own and X7 (onewheel). Not sure if that at all translates to riding an EUC. I am 40 but could still move a little and I am fairly strong.

Right now I’m between Xeno or Lynx S. Maybe even Aeon. But I’d be open to other suggestions. I’ll likely mostly be on street but honestly who knows how I’ll feel once I hit a trail. I don’t plan on using it for a commuter at all. I would like to go maybe 40+.

Thanks

Floaty App not uploading sessions.

Got the board on the 31st and rode everyday since but floaty hasn’t updated since the 4th. Any idea what’s up. Have auto start and stop session.

Received my X7S today. Few questions?

First what are some must have accessories. First thing I realized I need is a digital tire pump and a helmet.

Second. Does the floaty app track you every time you’re on the board or do you have to “record” every time you ride. I rode like 10 miles today but floaty is only showing 4.

I also wanna share my experience since this is my first board and first time on a wheel. Took about 20 minutes to get comfortable enough to ride on the street. Board felt very tippy. I let out some air from the tire and it changed everything. My back foot was also very uncomfortable but I blame it on not really knowing how to ride and wanting to have my front foot pointed “north” on the board. As I got my comfortable I started standing more sideways and bending my knees more the board became much easier to control. I eventually was able to jump off the curb and hit 24 mph.

Overall I’m hooked.

X7 without owning a computer?

I really thinking about buying an X7 as my first board. Literally the only thing stopping me from buying one right now is the fact that I don’t own a PC. I know they have an App for the setup process but would I need a PC to maybe download drivers, firmware, troubleshooting, etc? I would hate to have to buy a PC just to setup the X7. Any advice would be appreciated.
