Figo vs. Lemonade for a dog who was throwing up at her last check up 8 months ago

My dog ate something gross and was puking at her last vet visit. She had a full panel of tests that all came back healthy but I've been reading the "pre-existing conditions" stories on here and I'm worried anything she gets diagnosed with going forward will be a pre-existing condition.

Also, Figo says they cover emergency visits but then the emergency exam fees are an ad-on if anyone can spell that out for me. I've always followed the Consumer Reports analysis that says Pet Insurance is almost never a sound purchase on ROI so this is my first time buying it. Happy to hear any wisdom
