Is NTS GAT still Accepted?

I appeared for the 17th May NTS GAT exam for NUST postgraduate admissions. However, according to the recent HEC notification, the HAT exam is now the valid eligibility criteria for postgraduate admissions, and it has also been confirmed that GNET (NUST’s own postgraduate admission test) will not be accepted.

The issue is that this notification was released after the application deadline for the GAT exam had already passed. As a result, there is now a lot of ambiguity regarding whether previously taken GAT results will still be accepted or not.

So far, there has been no official clarification from either NUST or HEC, despite hundreds of students applying for MS admissions and having already invested time, effort, and money based on the previous criteria. There was no proper prior notification, transition period, or official guidance regarding this change.

The level of mismanagement and confusion in Pakistan’s education system is genuinely frustrating. Clownry level infinity.

How to submity GATresult

I have submitted my NUST postgraduate application and it is showing that my academic documents are being scrutinized. My NTS GAT test was on 17th May 2026 and I filled the NUST application before test. Now it is not showing any option to upload the GAT result. As GAT tests conducted till 20 June are accepted.

Is anybody able to access the application portal for the GAT General 17th May test? The deadline was 11th May. I have submitted the form and fees, and my fee submission was confirmed. But the link is not working, and they have not even confirmed the exam location and timings.
