I had high hopes for me, for my admission in NUST as I did my prep so well, gave my best in these 10 months. I was preparing from August joined Sir Hashim Zia's course, nustrive nd did everything possible. Practiced past papers, did FLPs, nd what not? I used to score 150+ in my FLPs btw. Shayad kismat men nai tha? Maybe NUST wasn't for me. Skipped all the breaks at college to do the NET practice, litr forgot about the world, missed hangouts w my friends, sleepless nights, struggling days. Did all the "hardwork" they say, but I don't belive in it anymore. Sometimes, hardwork isn't just enough. It's just a luck game. Many people incl me failed w hardwork. NUST was more than just a dream for me. It was my father's hopes, my mother's eyes w tears for me in every namaz. Had dreams to become a successful daughter, to be a reason of proud for them. But as they say: "Isme Allah ki taraf se koi behtari hi hogi", this sentence strengthened my iman. Whenever I think about my failure, a thought comes to my mind. Duaon se taqdeer badal jati hai, jo cheez apko tahajjud ki namazo men ro ro kar naseeb nai hui, socho usme kitna faida hoga aapke lie. NUST was my first ever ambition in life. I know some ppl will be like to kya hua aik uni hi to thi but they don't get it 5th class se I dreamt of being in NUST. I thought what level of smart ppl gets in there? I just fell 2.5% behind. It hurts alot, and I won't be able to forget it ever in my life. It broke me and took that motivation from me. I hope to move on. Jo cheez apke naseeb me hogi, aapko khud dhoond legi. Trust on Allah and try your best.

I have my giki test tmr can I get some tips and how diff it is from net
Have been preparing for NUST a lot. I am an O/A Level student, so I haven't covered the FSc course and had to do so from scratch. Currently, i have 138 in NET and a 74.1% aggregate. I want to go in CS/DS/AI. I have NET 4 on 7th July afternoon and just lost my ID Card. Now, I did go to NADRA and applied for a new one, but it would take a week to be made. Guys, can someone tell me if I can get in with something else, and please pray that I either find the ID Card or NUST admission office acknowledges my email and let's me in or reschedules my exam. maybe it's bc i haven't spent most of my life in a big, diverse city. it's mostly that. all these opportunities being offered, i've never even heard of. so many big words that intimidate me. i don't know anything about anything. how shit works. how people around me know everything. did they have someone to teach them? is that what comes with being upper class/well off? how does almost everyone in my class seem like some hardworking professional at age 18? where are they getting all these skills i've never even heard of before from? how do they have so many connections, given how introverted some of them are? i feel like a little kid among them.
it could be my lack of communication & social skills, being middle class with very limited opportunities in life, suddenly stepping into islamabad out of all places, surrounded by people in a better financial situation than me. everything overwhelms me & no one tells you about this stuff. how do people figure this shit out on their own? especially at such young ages? i wish someone told me i was wasting my teenage. and that i should've been building something for myself. it feels unfair. depressing & overwhelming. i'm about to start my third year & it's embarrassing still being this uninformed & clueless about the professional world, no connections, no skills, no clue where to start, no motivation. the world is so big scary & overwhelming & it feels like time is running out. all my peers are way ahead of me. i'm slower & dumber than them. i hate that life is a competition & you have to have some sort of professional experience & a job where you slave your life away to justify your existence. i wish it was just to be happy, however that looks for every person, but that's a long debate i'm not getting into.

So my journey with Nust and net ends here. My aggregate ain't Enough for Computing fields as of now in H-12 Campus. I wanted to pay my thanks to this community for help regarding prep for net and other entry tests. In the end "Hoga wohi Jo Allah chahy ga". Give your 100% in tests. Don't lose hope. I will share some Dua with everyone struggling for entry tests or anything. Recite them and Have tawakul in Allah.

Got my final NET attempt in 2 days last shot after failing to perform well twice before not bcs I didn't know the material or had nerves or anxiety in the hall, just used to get mentally tired couldn't process questions properly by mid-exam,used to forget formulas on spot
Now this time thinking of having redbul sugar free (for no sugar crash)30 to 40 minutes before the exam starts , first time trying any energy drink, Regular caffeine doesn't give me anxiety so not too worried abt that, just wanna know does redbul hit different than normal caffeine?,worth trying first time right before a big exam or risky?lasts long enough for a 3hr exam (200 MCQs) without crashing?
