So I recently got a RS500 NETGEAR Router to speed my internet up, but there has been a lot of issues with it. A good chunk of the time, the performance is tolerable and acceptable. However, when I am playing games, I randomly face a huge input delay of 15ish seconds where I genuinely cannot control the movements until the lagging "spell" is over. I cannot predict when it will happen but I cannot go 10-15 minutes of playing without encountering one. Sometimes it also results in a grainy screen and disconnecting from the game. I've done countless speed tests, and they all show great results. Also, whenever this lagging happens my ping jumps to 10 thousand (ridiculous) It is incredibly exhausting and so far I have not found a solution.

ALSO, I get lag that disconnects me from playing (as briefly mentioned above) but I know this is related to the tx rate (transmit rate) of the wifi. Whenever I get lag like this, the tx rate drops from about 700-800 to 30-100 (horrible). I am on a 5 Ghz network, 80 MHz, have changed the channel incase that was a problem. I have restarted my laptop countless times as well as the router itself. Theoretically, this router should be able to handle demanding tasks on multiple devices, so I really need help. Also im using an M1 Mac 2020 but whenever I use wifis at other places it doesn't lag like this so im not sure that is the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've done countless speed tests, and they all show great results. My ping is usually good in games (about 40) and does not spike. The only suspicious thing I see is my frames might drop for a split second when I lag but then they stabilize even though I can't control what is happening on the screen. It is incredibly exhausting and so far I have not found a solution.
