i think my principal was right

when i first joined sixth form i was told i couldnt take two of my four selected a-levels because i had gotten B's in the gcses, but i eventually got them to let me take them. i was told i was too "incompetent" to take these two a-levels and that i would fail in the actual exams, however throughout the year i got solid grades in these subjects and even scored A's in my mocks for both back in january. im taking the as-levels now and i feel like they were right, i won't secure A's in these subjects. i do cie and this exam series has been so weird for us, and i feel like maybe my school was right - im not smart enough to get A's in these subjects. i dont know what to do tho, because im probably going to drop one of these subjects, and i dont know if i want to take retakes for my other subject in oct/nov if i do get a B because statistically those exams are harder. does anyone have any tips to get over this?
