Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla took a swipe at Antonio Trillanes IV over the former senator's remarks regarding his "incompetence" in handling the arrest of Senator Bato dela Rosa.

"There's a reason why Trillanes lost 3 elections in a row. Nauuna yabang kaysa mag-isip," said Remulla on Friday.

Trillanes criticized Remulla anew due to Dela Rosa's escape from the Senate following the chaos that escalated to a shooting incident inside the chamber.
While Dela Rosa's whereabouts remain undisclosed, the Department of Justice issued an immigration lookout order against the senator, who is now wanted by the International Criminal Court for alleged crimes against humanity linked to former president Rodrigo Duterte's drug war.
