I started Jan 2025 with Wegovy and by the end of 2025 had reached 1.7mg. I switched in Feb 2026 to Zepbound 5mg and have been on that for three months.
My hair loss started almost immediately with Wegovy. It’s been constant for 14-15 months now. I’m titrating down to 2.5 mg and then I’ll go off to see if my hair can grow back and remain on my head. If anyone has stories about hair loss and recovery once going off the meds (please no “lack of protein” anecdotes) I’d love to hear if you were able to grow it back.
I started at 255 lbs and am currently at 190 lbs. I am ok with this weight now and want to just maintain for awhile before potentially trying to lose the last 20 lbs slowly and without Zep (my face and cheeks are starting to look very drawn and sagging). I would have liked to stay on Zep a while longer (and maybe indefinitely) but the hair loss has taken a toll on my happiness.
