Emudeck and Eden

Hey everyone, I’ve been wanting to emulate my switch on my steam deck. Don’t want to carry two devices and the deck has all my favorite games. I’m really new when it comes to computers and tech stuff. I really need some guidance.

I installed emudeck, and Eden on my deck and I have the prod.keys and firmware legally, but I have 0 idea which version it is or if that even matters. I just have 0 idea how to put it all together and how to get my ROMs from my switch games.. I’d really love to incorporate it into steam os so i don’t have to switch to desktop mode to play Zelda or Pokémon.

Anyone out there a tech genius that wants to help me out!!??

Future planning & budgeting

Hey everyone,

My girlfriend (31f) and I (29m) are trying to wrap our heads around our finances after I quit my well paying job to move to her country. We’ve been dating for just under 4 years now. Long distance of 2 months on and off because of work.

It has taken me 7 months to get situated with work. In that time period I went through my emergency fund and she has been taking on 80% of the daily cost of living. It had put a big strain on both of us.

Now I am working multiple jobs to have enough money to contribute.

We have talked about investing and building our emergency fund together, but this is where it always ends up in a fight.

Together we bring in 8600 a month. She makes 600 more than me. Our cost of living is 5750 monthly between rent, a loan on a lot we purchased making up roughly half of our monthly expenses.

I have tried to organize a budget for us. In which we both contribute evenly to the household expenses / general cost of living. Breaking it down to 2,875 per person per month.

As I mentioned earlier we wanted to build an emergency fund to cover our expenses for 3-6 months. In addition we wanted to contribute money to an investment portfolio.

This is where the conversation turns ugly. We both understand the need to be putting money away for our future and for our own security. She says she works too hard for her money to only have a couple hundred to herself.

How much is reasonable for us to be putting monthly into our emergency fund and investing? How much is reasonable for us to be keeping as our own fun money?

As of right now I would essentially be taking everything I’m earning and putting it away. She would have a few hundred bucks to herself because she makes more right now.

I do not care about having my own personal money. I live a very simple lifestyle. I rarely spend money on myself. She loves to spend money on things for herself when she’s stressed with work.

Please keep in mind we have been dating for 4 years next month. I have a ring and I want to marry this girl. She is amazing, beautiful, intelligent, caring, and a generally phenomenal person.

The financial issues have been the only problem we’ve really ever had, and this is with months at a time long distance and working on the other side of the world and multiple other stressors. We’ve always remained strong.

My biggest concern is setting us up for success. I love her, and want to provide the best possible life for her and myself. I don’t care if 2 years of budgeting and money saving now gives us multiple years in the future of security. She seems to be more concerned of in this moment, where I am concerned about our future.

Please help. I don’t want to fight anymore. I just want us to find a solution.
