I've tried remembering a game i played with my mum on our old family personal computer growing up but i can't remember the name. I remember as a farming game I played somewhere in 2006-2008ish. It was based on growing crops in a tropical island. The main protagonist is a woman and I think there were other characters but they were more tutorial and request givers. The main gameplay mechanics were something on the lines of real-time crops and rare crop items like golden pineapples blooming for a certain time before they rotted, fighting pests like giants snails and manually plotting, planting and clearing with different tools.
