Hi I’m genuinely wondering on others opinions. I’m looking to upgrade from my old car (Nissan) which has a CVT and it’s high mileage at 200k and needing lots of repairs I think all together worth more than the car itself (it’s 11 years old now) I’ve already done a couple repairs on it which was like 3k in the last couple years not including maintenance. one of them which was the AC so it would blow cold in the hot FL weather (it’s not working again) Im a college student with lots of savings from previous years and I was looking into a gr86. now I know what you’re thinking - but I live at home with no bills and a parent offered to help with half of the insurance (I’ll take care of everything else) I work full time making 2k / month and I am also a straight A student. I have enough to buy a base model with 22k miles cash. or another one which is premium around the same miles and same price with my desired color that I’m keeping my eye on. I know even after buying the car my savings will still go up. I consider myself mature and responsible but I also think life is short and I want to make the best of it and the car would make me happy and give me motivation. what are your thoughts? thanks 😊
