Tipping expectation is getting out of hand.

We have always ordered food from this particular spot. (=== ==== burrito) my wife picks it up to avoid delivery fees and tips. We have had no issues for years. Two days ago, while ordering online, I was asked to tip for the first time ever. I declined and then I was encouraged to tip. I declined then I was asked if I was sure I did not want to tip. Mind you a single bowl is already $18.00. After declining all three prompts, the order went through and the food was picked up. It was the worst version of that food we ever had. The shrimp felt and tasted like leather. It was awful. This place is really popular so I don't know why they did this. It felt intentional.
