Where do you guys go when you actually want to get work done? Are there any underrated study spots at UQ with a good vibe, comfortable seating, decent lighting, and maybe a little less of the usual library crowd?

Could be another library, a quiet building, a hidden corner on campus, or even a café nearby.

I’ve been offered a Sales Associate position at a Vodafone Select Dealer store in Brisbane.

They’ve asked me to complete a police verification/background check before proceeding.

I had a couple of questions:

1. What’s the usual hourly pay rate for a Sales Associate at a Vodafone Select Dealer?
2. Are weekend/public holiday penalty rates paid?
3. Is there usually any commission or sales incentive?
4. For the police check, did you apply through a specific provider, or did the employer give you a link/provider?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has worked at a Vodafone Select Dealer or similar retail store in Australia.

I'm currently studying the Master of Cyber Security at UQ, and I had a question about course substitutions.

I completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, where I already studied most of the topics covered in CSSE7321 (software engineering/software architecture concepts). Because of that, I'd prefer to take INFS3208 – Cloud Computing instead, as it aligns much better with my career goals in cloud security and cybersecurity.

Has anyone successfully replaced a Level 7 course like CSSE7321 with a Level 3 course such as INFS3208?

• Is this something EAIT or the program coordinator would approve?
• Would prior learning from my bachelor's degree help my case?
• If not, is there a postgraduate cloud computing course that you'd recommend instead?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's been in a similar situation or has experience with course substitutions at UQ.

I recently applied for a part-time job at Telstra. I received a phone call saying that the Chermside store would contact me by the end of the month.

However, I still haven't received any call, email, or text from the store.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is it normal for the store to take longer than expected to get in touch, or should I follow up with them?

I've been applying for Telstra Retail part time Consultant and Sales roles around Brisbane for several months but keep getting rejected before reaching the interview stage.

I currently work at Woolworths and have customer service experience, so I'm trying to understand what might be missing from my application.
