Do the higher-paying SE paths usually require deeper software engineering-level coding?
My main concern is whether I’m technical enough long-term. I can learn scripting/coding concepts and understand APIs, but I’m not using code every day in a software engineering work setting, so I’m trying to figure out how much that matters.
I’m seeing that implementation roles can be a good next step for me, but again main concern is that technical depth.
For someone who has a similar background, what’s a realistic comp range, and what do you recommend?
