Coworker ignoring, I would like to know how other people react to similar situation?
Why do colleagues make the work environment so unnecessarily hellish? Why not just do your work, be decent about it, and go home to enjoy yourself.
I was on a call with our onshore team where they requested data corrections for the past two months. The data needed was on a platform only accessible from the office, and my colleague L was the one sitting there.
I followed up with him, clearly explained what needed to be done — but he took no action. I even called him on Teams and practically had to force him to open the file and pull the data from the platform. And still, he didn't get it done. Like what is actually wrong? We barely have any work right now since our project isn't fully live yet — and somehow this still didn't happen. It was a shared responsibility and he just dropped it completely.
And then there was another moment on a Teams call with two other people present — I asked him something directly and he just ignored me. Completely. I repeated myself twice and he acted like I didn't exist.
I just want to know — how do other people deal with this? How do you react when a colleague consistently ignores you and avoids doing their part? Because this kind of behavior is honestly exhausting and demoralizing, and I know I can't be the only one experiencing this at work. I want to get back at him so please do let me know tour approach and i wanted to be last to complain to manager.
