Coworker ignoring, I would like to know how other people react to similar situation?

Why do colleagues make the work environment so unnecessarily hellish? Why not just do your work, be decent about it, and go home to enjoy yourself.

I was on a call with our onshore team where they requested data corrections for the past two months. The data needed was on a platform only accessible from the office, and my colleague L was the one sitting there.

I followed up with him, clearly explained what needed to be done — but he took no action. I even called him on Teams and practically had to force him to open the file and pull the data from the platform. And still, he didn't get it done. Like what is actually wrong? We barely have any work right now since our project isn't fully live yet — and somehow this still didn't happen. It was a shared responsibility and he just dropped it completely.

And then there was another moment on a Teams call with two other people present — I asked him something directly and he just ignored me. Completely. I repeated myself twice and he acted like I didn't exist.

I just want to know — how do other people deal with this? How do you react when a colleague consistently ignores you and avoids doing their part? Because this kind of behavior is honestly exhausting and demoralizing, and I know I can't be the only one experiencing this at work. I want to get back at him so please do let me know tour approach and i wanted to be last to complain to manager.

PS Used little chat Bot for polishing grammer.

In call today there were three person,

And I told 'if u had update u could have shared it over chat'

and i asked twice but that person A just ignore it and also person B.

And after sometime when they had solved it

i asked to chase oversight which Person A is already gonna respond to.

I told him to have additional comment that 'ask for refresher' but the person A just totally ignored it and when i asked person sitting next to me Person B

if i am auditable he said yes but did not say anything and after call even i went to him but he just ignored it.

I seeking advice how should i navigate after this,

Should i also ignore in call if they say something which i don't want to do to to ignore it?

Because even if i confort them why you did not respond to me over call that time they would just do the same, so that is out of option.
