Cyrene's Ode to Chrysos Heir rework idea - Part 2

Cyrene's Ode to Chrysos Heir rework idea - Part 2

Continuing off of Part 1, Part 2 are Cerydra, Cipher and DHPT

Design philosophy:

Cerydra: Her buff is very simple and effective, having good synergy in teams that uses her and cyrene. Yet, I always feel that Cerydra's base kit has always been questionable in terms of design, having useless CRIT traces, odd speed increases, and more importantly, there are clearly traits thats show the dev's design philosophy for her, to be mainly a Phainon bot (20 speed to allow Phainon with sig to reach 134 is no coincident, A4 giving only 1 charge for 1 use of ultimate is clearly made for Phainon, that e1 being basically only made for Phainon, and also the old beta kit of "If Cerydra is in the departed state, give 10% res pen" is the biggest culprit). However, even at the premise of being a Phainon bot, her kit design has so much flaws in regards to that.
Therefore, I made the buff with 1: fixing her useless crit trace in mind and 2: making her trace/kit actually make sense as a Phainon bot. While not making her too niche for Phainon and still be a really good support for general skill based DPS. The most interesting part to me is that she buffs crit rate based on the amount of CRIT DMG she has, making even building for Cerydra and her team much more interesting and flexible compared to the boring 30% CRIT DMG buff.

Cipher: As we all know, Cipher is a really bad pairing with Cyrene. This is largely due to Cipher's own kit issue making her too niche of an options and she is extremely limited because of that, as well as Cyrene's buff for Cipher doing too little to justify the problematic kit Cipher has. Therefore, I added a brand new mechanic to allow Cipher to record true DMG and overkill DMG (which in Cipher's base kit specifically name drops that she can't, and I always found it weird), the 120% dmg buff doesn't change anything. However, the game changer on top of this new mechanic to revive cipher has to be the massive defense shred she can provide now. To hopefully make her a great 2nd support options for most Cyrene teams.

DHPT: Cyrene's buff has always been extremely medicore on DHPT, and you will almost never use the second ability of pulling up an enhanced dragon for free, as its value is extremely low, not to mention, DHPT himself is already a medicore teammate choice for Cyrene, as she clearly wants remembrance to interact with her kit better, so that combined with a medicore buff for DHPT, almost makes his buff impossible to shine. However, I actually find Cyrene's buff design to be quite interesting for DHPT. Therefore, I did some massive tuning to the additional DMG multiplier, and most importantly, if Cyrene pulls up DHPT's dragon, the dragon gets a massive triple additional DMG increase. I also moved the free enhanced dragon from pulling to instead straight up allow DHPT's ultimate to grant 2 charges just like his e2, in order to make this buff more flexible.

Cyrene's Ode to Chrysos Heir rework idea - Part 1

It has been more than half a year since Cyrene's release, how have everyone gone used to her buffs for every single chrysos heir? Personally, I love the design of Cyrene giving unique buffs to each chrysos heir. However, some parts of these kits leaves distaste for me, and I feel like there are a lot of missed opportunity. So, I made this "All chrysos heir buff rework idea" as a possible Cyrene Novaflare idea. I tried to make the buffs reasonable, creative, strong and within realistic expectation.

Part 1 is for Aglaea, Anaxa and Castorice. Part 2, 3 and 4 for Cerydra, Cipher, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, Evernight, Hyacine, Hysilens, Mydei, Phainon and Tribbie will be out soon.

Design philosophy:

Aglaea: Currently, Cyrene's buff for Aglaea is quite strong. However, it feels like Aglaea has become very lacking due to the new batch of powercreep released in version 4, her kit even at e1s1 simply is hard to keep up and the current Cyrene buff does not bring anything new to the table for her. Therefore, I made the buff revolve mainly around giving Aglaea as much turn as possible, and greatly improves her rotation, at the cost of the amplification requiring stacking.

Anaxa: Anaxa easily has one of the strongest buffs out of all Chrysos heir, being a beast when paired with Cerydra and RMC. However, one thing that comes apparent to me, is how Anaxa was always intended to be designed as a The Herta support, yet the design result was a horrible failure. And you can notice the devs try to fix it too, in the form of a Cyrene buff dedicated for Erudition units, yet they failed to realize how much anti synergy Cyrene has with The herta, and the buff she gives for her is simply too weak to justify. As The Herta herself is really weak in the meta, I decided to go all in on the Erudition buffing for Anaxa's buff, in hopes of making The Herta finally viable again with these extremely powerful buffs, I tried tackling all of The Herta's kit issue, as well as still making the buff strong for Anaxa hypercarry.

Castorice: Obviously, Cyrene is definitively the core of remembrance flagship, and her base kit already have extremely strong synergies with remembrance units. Therefore, the chrysos heir specific buffs Cyrene gives to these units are relatively on the weaker end. Regardless, for the castorice buff itself, I actually really like its idea, but I think the execution is rather underwhelming. Also, I have always dislike the way remembrance has died down into memosprite that just instantly explodes themselves, or memosprite that doesn't even have an action bar, if you for example want to play Castorice like an actual remembrance summon unit, you literally have to actively grief your gameplay by not instantly exploding the dragon. Therefore, I have opted the approach of interacting both with Cyrene's buff for Castorice, doubling down on it, as well as interacting with Netherwing's actions, allowing for more variety of options.

Thank you all for looking, I appreciate it very much as I've put a lot of effort into it. And who knows? if enough people sees this, then maybe the Cyrene Novaflare becomes a reality somewhere in the future, and we will all get interesting changes like these to spice up the gameplay. Feel free to comment about how you feel about Cyrene's buff for chrysos heir, and how you feel about my rework ideas, also feel free to comment about what potential Cyrene novaflare design would you like for her base kit. And be sure to wait and see Part 2 and 3 and 4!

Eidolon value tier list - Updated

it has been 10 months since I last dropped the eidolon value tier list. Many more characters, and more importantly, many more overpowered eidolons has dropped. As well as different eidolons providing different values as time went on. So, I drop the updated eidolon value tier list right here, for player's reference if they wonder what eidolons are more worth getting.

Disclaimer: Although I try to be objective, this is still a tier list of subjective opinion, mistakes on evaulation of certain eidolons is possible, feel free to contest my opinion about a certain eidolon's value if you believe otherwise. Any sort of positive discussion is welcomed.

Criteria: This list was made based on mostly 2 things: 1: how I FEEL the impactful/power increase said eidolon provides to the character/their teams, and 2: how I FEEL the eidolon+said character/their teams can provide value to a player's account. Most importantly how I THINK the worth of the eidolon actually is.

For those who don't know how to look at eidolon arts:

Character facing backwards: eidolon 1 / e1

Character's eye: eidolon 2 / e2
