I've recently started working with kids with special education needs and one of them once pulled me towards a basketball hoop and pointed at it with one hand, while tapping on his chin with two fingers with the other hand. I've been wondering what that could've meant, i would like to learn!

Calling parents of neurodivergent children for research participation!

 I am conducting a qualitative study for my MSc exploring cultural variations in parenting practices of neurodivergent children. This would be a 30mins - 1hr online interview (British Summer Time, GMT+1). Your experiences can help shape better culturally sensitive support for families like yours

Who can participate?

  • Parent/primary caregiver of a neurodivergent child of any age (can be ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties)
  • Any cultural background including immigrant families
  • Willing to share your parenting experiences in a 1-1 confidential interview. This study has received ethical approval by University of Chester.

Study exploring cultural variations of parenting practices (Parents of Neurodivergent children)

I am conducting a qualitative study for my MSc in Family and Child psychology, exploring cultural variations in parenting practices of neurodivergent children. Your experiences can help shape better culturally sensitive support for families like yours. Participation would mean a 2 - 5 min survey and an online interview of 30 - 50min (platform can be based on what is comfortable for you).

Who can participate?

  • Parent/primary caregiver of a neurodivergent child (can be ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties)
  • Any cultural background including immigrant families
  • Willing to share your parenting experiences in a 1-1 confidential interview. This study has received ethical approval by University of Chester.
