Hello everyone,

My dog Máximo is a 2-year-old Dachshund. He was recently diagnosed with ascites caused by heart failure. Despite this, he is still active, eats well, and doesn’t get tired easily, but his abdomen keeps filling up with fluid very quickly, even after it was drained once already.

He is currently taking diuretics, but he is still urinating very little. Has anyone gone through something similar or have any recommendations on what else I should discuss with the veterinarian?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated 🙏
