This may just be a TV movie. I saw it on daytime television, forgot the channel. It had to have been made after 2014.

One of the first scenes in the movie is the father face-timing his wife and daughter—white family—and then he promises to read her a bedtime story once her gets home that night. Before he gets home, the wife is tricked into letting someone called "Uncle Larry" (I think?) into the apartment, but he comes up their stairs slowly, crying, says "I'm sorry" and is followed by someone who shoots him in the head and then kills the wife and daughter.

The next thing I remember is that the father was in some sort of interrogation room, asks one of the guys there, "what would you do if you were me," and the guy refuses to answer. Another guy talks to him, they let him go, and he goes back to the apartment where his wife and daughter were killed, and its obviously taped off as a crime scene. While looking around, a black guy sneaks up behind the father, covers his mouth, and tells him to be quiet, the father throws him off, and it turns out the guy is actually there to help him (might be a detective, an old friend, I don't remember)

There was also an actor that looks like Kurt Russell, who I believe is one of the higher-ups in the crim organization, and he has a talk with another older gentleman in what looks to be a quiet corner of a bar or maybe just some bunker they have. I think they talked about whether the CIA/FBI had gotten invloved yet.

Sorry for all of the "I thinks," and "I don't remembers." That's literally all I can recall atm. 😅
