Anyone ever received 221g requesting immigration history of the petitioner? My father received 221g asking that I submit a notarized copy of how I immigrated to US, and how I became a US Citizen. Is this normal?
This group is for IV (immigrant-visa) applicants only. Can admins setup a bot or delete posts that are for non-IV related?
My dad has an expedited immigrant visa case at the U.S. Consulate in Mumbai, India. The expedite request was approved last year, but due to medical delays he could not schedule the interview at that time. He has now completed the medical exam and already scheduled both VAC and IV interview appointments per the expedite instructions.
The issue is that his DS-260 was submitted a little over a year ago. The OFC and IV appointment confirmation email says the DS-260 should be less than 1 year old. However, his CEAC case is currently locked because the case is already at the Mumbai consulate, so he cannot unlock, edit, or create a new DS-260.
There are no changes needed on the DS-260 anyway.
Has anyone dealt with this situation before at the Mumbai, India consulate? Did they require a new DS-260, or were they able to proceed with the interview as-is?
Would appreciate any guidance or similar experiences. Thanks!
