Does anybody get anal fissures or irritation from wiping? How do you tell the difference between that and having an actual outbreak?

I’ve been to the doctor twice and each time I request to be swabbed just to see if it’s migrated there (I have a confirmed dx of HSV2); each time they tell me it’s just irritated from wiping and it’s definitely not HSV2. Wondering if anyone has experience?

Hello. I had prodome symptoms for GHSV2 a few days leading up to when I had unprotected sex. None the day of sex and then prodome the following three days, no OB ever occurred. I take daily Valtrex, and have had this 20+ years. Partner knows about status but I’m sick to my stomach that I could have transmitted this. Prior to this I was with my other partner over 15 years and never transmitted. Anyone have any positive (pun intended) stories to share where they didn’t transmit around prodome symptoms? Looking for some hope!
