Hey guys, hope everyone is having a nice bank holiday. I’m an FY1 on my last rotation, about to rotate to old age psychiatry as my first job in FY2 in August. I’m keen on pursuing psychiatry as a career and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to make the most of it? Any book recommendations etc? I’m already planning on starting MSRA prep post-ARCP but was wondering what would be more helpful progression-wise asides from that. Thanks all!

Title says it. I have ARCP coming up in the next month (gulp) and am wondering if people could share common pitfalls with the portfolio that might make you have to extend, for example not getting a mental health case (which I feel like is very sneaky if you don’t have a psych rotation)
