Listen up all Psychology content creators Pls!

I am a computer engineering student writing about Patterns, psychology and mental models along with focusing on wellbeing .

I am struggling to differentiate from pop psych. In the sense, my content is original and research based and I truly have interest in psychology. But, i am not able to manage my instagram to differentiate as I have realised I am goin into pop psych there in..i only get followers who want a follow- back.

  • What are some things i can do to not unintentionally put my image as a pop psych creator while writing?
  • Any suggestions for the Instagram? (Just posting carousels referring to the substack articles i post)

I’m starting a Substack and want to use Instagram to grow it.

Debating between:

  • posting on my personal account (friends + network already there) OR
  • making a separate account just for the publication

What worked better for you guys early on? Did personal network actually help, or is it better to start clean? Would love real experiences.
