Can we talk about modern Brawl Stars animations and color scheme choices?

Can we all lighten up? Jokes aside, I'm personally struggling against low contrast background maps and a lot of modern abilities; especially now that Buffies and hyper charges dominate the meta. Dark Gray background for maps which used to be grassy and colorful, Purple projectiles from 7 second duration hypers, hidden ground effects within bushes such as Najia's gadget poison or Ziggy's warning circle, Bo's mine placement, and an honorable mention to Damian's unbreakable dark colored speakers gadget... all of which are easy to miss from one's periphery.

For how impactful slows, stuns, and lingering effects are, visually handicapping the enemy through skins which change the projectiles "appeared" size, darken a projectile, or even blur attack animations are wearing me down. Couple this visual "darkening" as I'll call it with animations for brawlers such as the modern Edgar with scarf gadget's landing which seem half-finished as you have about a tenth of a second where Edgar's landing animation circle-attack-damage misaligns from his actual grounded hitbox and you're left with some quite unsatisfying deaths when trying to counterplay by anticipating where Edgar is landing.

Is anyone else experiencing the "darkening" of the game which removes some of the whimsy or are my eyes just old. Let me know competitively what skins I should practice against more, aim to acquire myself, or simply share your thoughts on the topic.
