I made a website where bots have weird rules - and you can build your own!

https://botgambit.com/bots

Built a website where chess bots have weird rules. I love playing the regular bots but it gets dull over time without much variation.

For example, one bot starts at 3200 Elo but loses 100 Elo after every move. You’re still playing normal chess, but each bot’s rule adds another dimension to the game and forces you to approach it differently.

Everything is 100% free, no signup, no ads, nothing.

Each bot has 3 difficulty levels so that every player can find a reasonable challenge.

Some other cool features:

  • Leaderboards that are validated by the server for integrity and a simple anti-cheat
  • Daily challenges (like wordle but bots)
  • Analysis + Game Review
  • Ability to create your own bots (with your own custom rules) and share them!
  • A spectate mode where you can watch two bots battle each other
  • Full mobile and desktop support
  • Dark Theme

I’d love for you to try it and let me know which bot is your favorite—or what weird bot rule I should add next. Hope you enjoy it! 👍

Each Sector is Different from the Last...

I've been working on a fast-paced roguelite where every sector has its own unique mechanic. As you play, you'll unlock permanent upgrades, new weapons, unique characters, and create some pretty crazy builds. I'd love to hear what you think, let me know how far you make it!

Steam Page: Core Crusher
Demo (Itch.io): Core Crusher

Generative AI Disclosure:
Generative AI was used to assist with writing code and creating certain steam store assets. Additionally, some in-game artwork was generated from developer-created mockups.

Retro Top-Down Shooter Roguelite - 1 Month of Development!

So far I've built the entire game in Godot in ~ 1 month. It's not entirely completed yet and there's still quite a bit of work to be done before a full launch. However, using the new GPT model Sol 5.6 has helped out tremendously. The new model is incredibly powerful and has really transformed the main stylistic elements of my game. Character and skill tree assets I created, and the gun/weapon sprites were available online for free. The rest was coded in by Sol, just using primitive built-in Godot shapes and elements.

The game will have 50 sectors, around 1/3 will be specialized sectors that have meaningful mutators/special effects. I would highly recommending checking out the trailer on the steam page for some combat insights. I will get a demo out as soon as I can finalize a few more things :). Very excited to share this!

Core Crusher - Demo Available Now!

Hello everyone! I created an active arcade incremental game called Core Crusher.

Link: https://gubestudios.itch.io/core-crusher

This is a demo version of the game I plan to release in the future. I know the itch page itself is still bare and so just try to ignore that for now.

The game features a large skill tree, weapon vaults, achievements, customizable settings and keybinds, background music, and more.

The primary goal of the game is to beat sector 25, currently, the game can continue infinitely but my plan is to have some sort of ending there. I've spent most of my time balancing the game and attempting to make it feel fun, satisfying, and rewarding to progress.

I hope you all enjoy!

Note: I was having trouble getting the audio buses to work properly on the web builds, and so the master knob is the only volume control that is functional in the web versions.

AI Disclosure:
Although I do have coding experience, I used codex to help write a majority of the code. All of the sounds, art, music, balancing, progression, design choices, etc. were done by humans :)
